Produced in the comune of Montepulciano some 45 kilometers east of Montalcino, the Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG is usually a blend of the Sangiovese clone known as Prugnolo Gentile and Canaiolo Nero, although at times, the producer may well add up to 10% of white grape.
